City Life and Village Life:

Introduction: The city life. versus village life is the contradictory term. Both lives have advantages and disadvantages. Different people in the world like both city life or village life. In the sense of a global village, village life should be preferable to city life.

The advantages of village life: In the village people have very little but they are happy with what they get. The villages offer us an endless variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, fishes, crops. Green playground and playmates can cheer us up. The bright sunny days and the blue sky give us a kind of calmness. The gentle fresh air blows away all our agonies and tiredness. In the villages, there is no lack of living space and land. The villagers are soft-hearted and sympathetic. Everyone feels for others.

The disadvantages of village life: Despite all these advantages, village life has got some drawbacks. There is hardly any opportunity for employment. Village people are mainly farmers or a few are small businessmen. There are no mills and factories to employ a considerable number of people in the villages. Moreover, good schools and colleges are very few in number. There lives, hardly any good doctors in the village. There is no good road in the village. People living in the village are deprived of the minimum comforts of life.

Advantages of city life: Nowadays people are leaving villages for towns. They are fond of town life. The town has better sanitation. It has road lights. It has a supply of pure water. It has good schools and colleges. It has good roads and streets. It has good cinema houses for recreation. It has bank and business firms. It has good transport facilities. In this sense, town life is full of comfortable.

Disadvantages of city Life: Town life has-disadvantages also. It is very costly to live in the city. People are always busy. Everyone tries to have his interests fulfilled. In a city, the environment is polluted. The air is full of smoke fume. Moreover there is a big problem with hijacking and snatching. City scb0ols and colleges are overcrowded and class size is unusually large. In the cities, her is hardly any depth of relationships among the people.

Comparative discussion: As the city life and village life are, the contradictory theme both of these lifestyles have merits and demerits. City life is fast, busy, active and complex. Whereas village life is slow, easy, relaxed and carefree.

Conclusion: So, in the concluding section, this can be illustrated, both city life and village life have some advantages and disadvantages. But, most people should prefer village life to city life because of city life is full of chaos and conflicts. In fine, we should go back to village to live our life without conflicts.
