Subject: response to your suggestion

Dear Mr Armstrong,

I received your suggestion regarding the increase of man power in our organization. I regret to inform you that our management has let down the proposal, as they are unwilling to proceed with any new recruitment process.

Management is very keen towards cost cutting. Rather than downsizing, we are trying to accommodate our existing employees, with their employment being continued without hassle. Increasing man power would call for further investment including their salary and other benefits.

We have instead come up with an alternate plan of installing better improved machinery to provide faster output. This could help you in achieving your target at the specified period of time.

Hope this would ease you out from immense work pressure.

Please feel free to come up with any other suggestion.

Yours truly,

David Donald
