Change the following sentences as directed in the brackets.

Change in Sentences – 11

(a) Mohsin’s one of the most brilliant students in his class. (positive)

(b) He is very attentive to his studies. (negative)

(c) He is never late to go to school. (affirmative)

(d) He goes to school regularly. (interrogative)

(e) Everybody loves him very much. (passive)

Answer: (a) Very few students in the class are as brilliant as Mohsin. (b) He is not at all inattentive to his studies (c) He is always early to go to school. (d) Doesn’t he go to school regularly? (e) He is loved very much by’ everybody.

 

Change in Sentences – 12

(a) Cricket is a very exciting game. (exclamatory)

(b) People of all ages enjoy this game. (passive)

(c) At present, it is one of the most popular games in our country. (comparative)

(d) Everybody likes a Cricketer (negative)

(e) Would that I could be a great Cricketer! (assertive)

Answer: (a) What an exciting game cricket is! (b) This game is enjoyed by people of all ages (e) At present it is more popular than most other games in our country. (d) Nobody d1shkes a D cricketer. ( e) I wish I could be a great Cricketer.

Change in Sentences – 13

Bangladesh is a land of rivers.

(a) The Padma is one of the biggest rivers in Bangladesh. (comparative)

(b) It is called the rive of destruction. (active)

(c) The river is very turbulent. (negative)

(d) Everybody knows this. (interrogative)

(e) Tourists from home and abroad visit its shore. (passive)

Answer:  (a) The Padwa is bigger than most other rivers in Bangladesh. (b) Peope all it the river of destrution. ( c) The river is not at all slow-going. ( d) Who doesn t know this? ( e ) Its shore is visited by tourisis from home and abroad.

Change in Sentences – 14

(a) We must-read books to gain knowledge. (negative)

(b) Books introduce us to the realm of knowledge. (passive)

(c) The books of great writers contain noble thoughts and great ideas (interrogative)

(d) Without reading books, we cannot enrich our mind (affirmative)

(e) Books are the greatest friends. (positive)

Answer: (a) We shouldn’t avoid books to gain knowledge. (b) We are introduced to the realm of knowledge by books. ( c) Don’t the books of great writers contain noble thoughts and great ideas? ( d) By reading books we can enrich our mind. (e) No other friend is as great as books.

Change in Sentences – 16

(a) Mr. Jamal is the wisest man in the village. (comparative)

(b) He is sincere. (negative)

(d) Nobody dislikes him. (affirmative)

(e) We should follow him (passive)

Answer: (a) Book is betterthan·any other friends. (b) Books should be read by us all. (c) Doesn’ta book delight us? (d) Everyone likes a book. (e) What a valuable thing it is!

Change in Sentences – 18

Usain ‘Bolt, the world sprint champion, has become a legend in the history of race competition :

(a) He ran the fastest of all in the last Olympic Games. (positive)

(b) Only he c0uld break his own record. (negative)

(c) He had to practice a lot for this. (negative) He believes that practice makes a man perfect He has become successful for his own effort and perseverance.

(e) It was not’invented overnight. (active)

Answer: (a) Computer is the most useful thing. (b) There is no student who does not need a computer. ( c) Can a poor student buy it? ( d) Very few inventions of science are so great as it. ( e) Scientists did not invent it overnight.

Change in Sentences – 20

(a) Walking is better than any other exercise. (superlative)

(b) Everyone prefers walking as an exercise Usually in the morning. (interrogative)

( c) It keeps our body fit for walking. (negative)

( d) So, We should never forget this thing. (passive)

( e) Good health is very valuable. ( exclamatory)

Answer: (a) Walkin is the best of all exercises (b) Who doesn’t prefer walking as an exercise usually m the mom mg? ( c) Doesn’t it keep our body fit for walking? ( d) so this thing should never be forgotten. (e) How valuable good health is!

    In bracket you wrote negative but you Write answer in Interrogative!
