Introduction: A journey by train has its own charm. A journey by train is always fast. It is interesting and comfortable as well. A journey by train is nowadays popular and less expensive than bus journeys.

Occasion: I was expecting a long journey by train. The chance came in the last autumn. It was a very happy occasion for my uncle’s wedding ceremony. The function was held in Sylhet town. So we had to go from Dhaka to Sylhet, and it was really a long journey.

Starting of the journey: We reached Kamalapur Railway Station at 6:00 a.m. Our train was the Parabot Express. It was due to leave.at 7.00 a.m. We were a group of  20 people. All got on the train in time. We all had I our seats reserved in the same compartment. I heard an announcement. Only three minutes later the guard blew the whistle and waved the green flag. The train started in time with a long whistle. The speed rose gradually.

The scenery I enjoyed: The train left behind station after station. It passed over many fields, river, and canals. I was always gazing outside at the natural beauties. It seemed that the trees and the houses near the railway tracks were running back. But the things at a distance appeared to be running forward with us. When we were near Sylhet, it passed through some tea gardens. I found some women picking tea leaves. I was charged with all these beauties. But I was impressed most with the waving sight on the sµrface of green com fields and the beauty of the tea gardens. Au these gave me a wonderful experience.

Ending of the journey: The train reached Sylhet at 3 p.m. We were received at the station by the host party. Thus the journey ended with pleasure and enjoyment. It is still fresh in my memory.

Conclusion: A train journey is safer than a bus journey. The train is the best for long journeys. It is as fast as enjoyable. It is a popular transport. But dishonesty arid corruption of some officers and employees, people much and so its popularity is decreasing. The authority must be aware of it.
