Mr. Rupert Wolfe

Manager

XYZ Company

New York

Columbus, OH 43248

Dear Mr. Wolfe,

Ref: Application for Paternity Leave

I would like to apply for Paternity leave as my wife is in her last stage of her pregnancy and our doctor has given delivery date in the second week of March. I would like to avail of this leave for a period of two weeks.

As the doctors have not yet confirmed the exact date, I shall keep you informed about the exact dates as time progresses. I have handed over the projects that I am presently handling to my team members, as they are quite capable of handling them in my absence as well.

Kindly understand my situation and approve my paternity leave as soon as possible.

Thanks and regards,

Sincerely,

Michael Black
