My dear Rupa,

At first, take my cordial love. Hope you are well. I am well too. Recently, I have read a very interesting novel. Now I shall tell you about this. The name of the novel is “Silas Marner”. The writer George Eliot wrote this novel. The novel is the life story of a man named Silas Marner. At the beginning of the novel he lived in a village named Lantern Yard. Here he loved a girl named Sarah. But the girl forsook him and married his intimate friend. His intimate friend cheated with him. Here he accused of stealing. This incident shocked him and he left the village. He settled his life in Raveloe at the next stage. Here he received a little girl with golden hair. He brought up the girl with great love and care for sixteen long years. But, suddenly one day Godfrey, the girl’s real father claimed the girl and wanted to take her away from Marner’s house. But the girl herself refused to go with Godfrey. This is really an interesting novel. No more today. Convey my salam to your parents.

Your loving friend

Shila
