Write a letter to your pen-friend in Australia telling him/her about the celebration of “Pahela Baishakh”

20 April 2020

16 Distillery Road,

Gencjaria, Dhaka

My dear John,

I am very happy to receive your letter. In your letter, you have wanted to know how we celebrated ‘Pahela Baishakh’ in our college premises. Now, I will tell you about that.

In order to celebrate the Pahela Baishakh in a befitting manner, we decorated our college premises tastefully. So the college wore a festive look. There were some groups of volunteers who extended their helping hands in various activities for celebrating the mela arranged on this occasion. One group fenced the entire area. Another group set up shops and Stalis for the traders. There were shops of nicknacks, sweets, toys, and homemade things. Another group of volunteers rendered service in maintaining discipline. The fair became a place of get-togetherfor the people. The fair was a special attraction for children. They bought toys, sweets and different types of thing. Since I was one of the organizers of the fair, I was preoccupied with taking the mela a success. In fact, the mela gave me immense pleasure because all my efforts became successful.

I am keeping fine, With best regards to your mum and dad and love to your only sister Rosy.

You’re lovingly

Md. Forhad Hossain
