My dear mother,

I received your letter yesterday. Your letter is full of anxiety. You’re horribly anxious for my health. Now I’m an undergraduate student having at least a little bit of responsibility which has entrusted with me. A few days go l suffered from some unforeseen ailment. But I consulted with a doctor and according to his prescription medication went on in the meantime. Now I’m fast recovering from the ailment. Please don’t worry any longer. At this stage, I’m strictly confined to bed for rest. Food and medicine as per doctor’s advice are taken regularly. Your loving care is now surely felt and needed. But I’m far away from you still then everything is O.K. My classmates, and friends are very sympathetic, sincere and co-operative. They helped me a lot. You will be glad to now that I am now out of danger. So must shun off your tension for your son.

Hope this finds you in good health and fine spirits

Your’s loving son
